IDEAL FOR: Those who want to be in town. (This is the only luxury property in Hoi An itself. From here, you're just a short walk to everything -- restaurants, bars, shops, markets, cultural attractions, etc.) KEY NOTES: It's not as luxurious as the other two hotel options featured on this page, and it's got just one pool, which means it can be somewhat crowded at times. IDEAL FOR: Those who want to be close to town but not right in the thick of it, those who prefer villas with plunge pools to rooms with balconies, and those who appreciate health & wellness experiences. KEY NOTES: It's just a little beyond walking distance to town -- but an easy bicycle ride. It's also fairly new, so they're still getting some of the kinks out. FOUR SEASONS
IDEAL FOR: Those who love Four Seasons properties, those who like the idea of staying in a stand-alone private villa (like Namia) but facing the ocean instead of a river, and those who want to get away from it all and just enjoy all the comforts that one of the world's great hotel brands offers its guests. (The pools and the spa are incredible.)
KEY NOTES: It's either a long bicycle ride or 20-minute taxi ride to town. In other words, it's a bit secluded here -- and there's nothing about it that screams "Vietnam." With the exception of some cool architectural features, it feels like you could be at a high-end beach resort in Bali, Mexico or Hawaii. It's a true oasis though. And the level of service here is off the charts.
